You must be talking about the things like the obsession with secrecy in the executive branch, closed door policy meetings without consultation, legislation tailor-made for the highest bidding lobbyists, civil rights coming and going at the whim of Justice, corporate shills masquerading as public servants, a politicized judiciary, and the government-private sector revolving door. Sound familiar? It's the Bush-Cheney-Rummy-DeLay Praxis of Weevils.

Hey, maybe I'm the one who should be buying the gun.

No, the trend is for the majority to hand over more and more power to the governing elite because they buy the elites false promises of peace and security. At some point the elite forget who gave them the power and by then it's too late for the majority to take it back.
This is the track we are on. This is the scenario that must be avoided at all cost because the cost of undoing the damage is enormous.

Excellent post DMA. It is so true. Thank God for two term limits of the Presidency.

The leftists here would have the position of President constantly filled with candidates from the left. If that were to ever happen, I wonder how long it would take for many of them to be calling for heads to roll? Diversity is a very good thing.
