" I was staring straight into the shining sun"....
Huge fan of all Floyd material here...including Waters, pre-Gilmour, Gilmour, post-Waters, etc. The band's last two albums and live shows were great: Momentary Lapse of Reason and The Division Bell...saw them live on the tours for these albums and they were as good as anything they did when Waters was with them. On the other hand, Radio Kaos and Amused to Death, are great works by Roger. His Radio Kaos live show was as good as any other Floyd show I have seen. Too bad the boys hold a grudge. But ain't the music great? About the only Floyd album I don't like is the Final Cut. Seemed symptomatic of the bad blood that was brewing in the band at the time, and was much more influenced musically by Waters, who was at his low ebb imho.
If you want to hear some "outrageous" Floyd covers, check out Luther Wright and the Wrongs: Rebuild the Wall.
They perform the "The Wall" all country music versions. Young Lust with a twang :)
