Communications Corporation (Nasdaq:ANCC.Q), the technology leader in
software defined base station products for wireless communications,
today announced that it expects first quarter 2002 revenue to exceed
its first quarter forecast.
In the company's 4th quarter and year-end conference call, it
forecasted first quarter revenue of approximately $6 million. Revenue
is now expected to be approximately $6.5 million, an increase of 57%
over the prior quarter. Revenue in the fourth quarter of fiscal year
2001 was approximately $4.1 million dollars, and revenue in the first
quarter of fiscal year 2001 was $6.4 million. The Company also
announced it had collected approximately $6.1 million in deposits
associated with new purchase orders in the first quarter.
"The first quarter of 2002 is off to a good start," Glenn Ehley,
president and chief executive officer for AirNet Communications, said.
"During the first quarter, the Company continued to execute to its
business plan, despite a challenging economic environment for telecom
suppliers. We continue to position the Company for growth as operators
transition to GSM voice and high speed data services."

Conference Call

The Company plans to announce financial results for the first
quarter of fiscal year 2002 at 4:00 p.m. Eastern time on Tuesday,
April 23, 2002. Following the announcement, AirNet will host an
earnings conference call featuring Mr. Ehley and Joseph F. Gerrity,
vice president and chief financial officer.
The teleconference is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m. Eastern time
and is expected to last approximately 25 minutes. Those interested in
