I own a little ciena now - one of my "bottom fishing" picks which I would have avoided completely 2 years ago but in this mkt seem to be working for me. I'm up on wcom and thats one heck of a dog! Anyway the thing with ciena is oni. I believe oni sells into metro, correct? Most new investors in ciena that I read are not positive on the long haul but with the Oni side of the business. Also last I looked Merrill's $5 target is below cash value. Jnpr was able to pull a rabbit out of a hat on their last report so I don't see why ciena can't. A wildcard with all these comm numbers is Cisco earnings next month. I think cisco will exceed expectations since I think Paul Sagawa's call on the bottom last month was correct. L
