Dear ET: I think Pres. Bush sees the Palestinians as Terrorists but of a different breed then say AlQuida terrorists. The Palestinians are fighting for their homeland from their homeland. The Elquida are fighting all over the world in a religious war not territorial. Now, I think he and most Americans still say they are terrorists, but the former is at least understandable, ie the Americans were "terrorists" too I suppose starting with the "Boston Tea Party" as we fought for our own Nation. Now, the problem becomes "Suicide or as some say Homicide Bombers" directed against the Israeli populance rather than the military. The Palistinians would answer they have to fight with what they have, their bodies as they have no heavy equipment and they have to go up against unarmed populance for the same reason. Doesnt make it right, any more then what the Israeli Army is apparently doing to the populance of Palistine. I am not condoning either side, just trying to understand it. Since in the long haul it seems to me NOTHING is accomplished by either side that is useful I have come to the conclusion that BOTH SIDES are nuts and it would satisfy me if the USA could extricate itself completely from this mess INCLUDING FINANCIALLY and let the UN settle it, if the UN wont then let each side slaughter one another until hopefully some reason will prevail. I know that sure sounds mean but frankly I HAVE HAD MY FILL OF THIS. JDN

I've seen no action of PRESIDENT GEORGE W. BUSH that support the idiotic proffers you suggest. PRESIDENT GEORGE W. BUSH is once again following a balanced course. All the instant gratification vacant liberal minded lefty loons are all playing their part as usual.

e.t. keep up the good work..

E.T., I agree. I am disappointed in President Bush's handling of the Israeli/Palestinian situation. He has muddled what was once a crystal clear message, and that is that we are against terrorism. If the Palestinian terrorists are really "freedom fighters" as some suggest, what is the basis for this term? Two pieces of information that seem the most telling to me are that the Palestinians left the region to let others attack and destroy Israel, and that there was a pretty reasonable offer made to Arafat to end the this saga and he chose to reject it.

They are religious fanatics bent on the destruction of Israel, and thier leaders teach hatred and killing as the way to handle their problems. The world does not need that kind of leadership, and it is appalling to me that the Europeans, and a good amount of Americans feel the Palestinians are as right as the Israelis.
