John, I know you are a big fan of RDRAM, but maybe you should look at this review. xbitlabs.com Xbitlabs revisits several chipsets for a side-by-side comparison, and the i845 does a lot better now than it did at launch (looks to be the result of reduced latency, as indicated on one of the early benchmarks). It actually outperforms the i850 on a few tests. I would think that the extra bandwidth from DDR333 could make it very competitive vs the Rambus solution. Maybe this changes at higher clock frequencies, but right now, I wouldn't put all my eggs in the Rambus basket. wbmw
