I think playing 20 questions to get someone into a box may make others feel better, but I don't use the classification systems that other people use when it comes to politics. Maybe we should come up with our own system based upon more relevant traits of political decision making processes: 1. Poser 2. Ignoramus 3. Devout Ideologue 4. Socializer/Follower 5. Logic-based Swing voter 6. Emotional dogmatic 7. Vitriolic reactionary 8. Pompous ninny It's pretty hard to distinguish between #8 and #1. A #6 gets huffy, while a #7 gets huffy and insults you. A #3 rejects data that conflict with preconceived principles. A #4 is motivated by a herd-instinct or pack-instinct, but has no well-founded opinions of their own. We should all aspire to be a #5. Unfortunately, most get stuck at #2.
