Sounds a little too good to be true. I'll believe it when I see it, but at the rate AMD has been heading, it's almost believable. For their sake, Hammer better perform a lot better than these figures are indicating.

Well, Hammer has the big SOI dependency, which the other thread is partly declaring at least problematic, because a new roadmap has Barton apparently w/o SOI. Not enough emphasis is placed on assumptions and dependencies around here, IMO. Maybe we need a degree of difficulty factor assigned to these Intel and AMD projects, like in diving. SOI = ??. Hammer AND SOI = ??? P4 continuing to scale, on target, in clock speed = ?? 90 nanometer = ?? Prescott = ?? Prescott and 90 nm = ??
