applying some European ideas Higher gas taxes are also a good conservation measure. We pay very low gas taxes compared to Canada and Europe. When I travel to British Columbia, which I do often, I notice few gas guzzling trucks and SUVs.

Vancouver B.C. has an excellent monorail system to transport people from the suburbs into the inner city. It is about 17 miles in length and was built during the world fair.
