I've had two computers do the beep-no start routine. Both were fixed by replacing the power supply.

I sometimes get a beep when playing Quake3 online and the game jumps a bit. I bet it's my RAM refresh. I've been meaning to find out what was causing it. I think I'll try either reseating the chip and/or changing slots.

I don't know if it makes any difference but this computer never beeped with 98 on it. It's only after I loaded XP. Is it because XP is such a memory hog? I see in system monitor with nothing running it's using around 130 megs.
