Well, dropping the maximum Q4 speed to 2600+ from 2800+ would also fit with the "dropping SOI" explanation.

If Clawhammer arrives 3 months after Barton, it would make SOI Barton kind of redundant. But I think dropping SOI Barton will hurt AMD in the notebook market.

Interesting idea except AMD has used different sized boxes within prior roadmaps.
