From many Jewish people I know,
most feel they want the Palestinians to have a separate
state and are willing to give up the settlements for peace.
Also Israel has allowed many Palestinians to work in Israel and have treated them in their hospitals.

As far as land, Israel gave the Sinai back to Egypt in return for peace.

On the other hand, what have the Arabs offered?

As far as an investment... I truly believe the US acts
often out of moral strength and not only out of $$$. I saw that Gore Vidal claims that are whole Ahfgan policy is based on oil, to allow pipelines to go through. Seems like many can't acknowledge the amazing sacrifices we make to help people in need.

Our moral investment: I feel we need to support the Jewish people in their right for a homeland since, Poland, USSR, Germany, Italy etc would not allow the Jewish people to stay in those countries. Thankfully they have been welcomed here and the benefit to this country has been
tremendous. IMO the Kurds and the Armenians deserve the same support. And the Palestinians deserve there place too. And the US has done much to further that goal.
