Well, this is shaping up as the scariest close for the shorts in quite a while. Market fundamentals look absolutely dynamic, institutional interest is high and likely to get higher when the TA guys get through perusing the charts, INTC won't disappoint even if they don't blow the lid off. If their "visibility" improves, could be a catalyst right there. Inflation not a worry, Fed not in a hurry to raise rates. Old reliables like JNJ also checking in tonight....probably good news. Liquidity sloshing around ready to be put to work.
Duck and Cover. <g>

Pomp I agree 100%.
If you can not go long you have to get the hell out of the way of the rallies.
I could not figure out if the powers that be delta hedged short (sure looked that way for a while) or were just letting shorts get overconfident (seems the latter was it), but you have to get out of the way if you not sure.

No way was I going to stay short and find out, but I did have a small bunch of puts, closed them out break even today (would have been a loss had it not been for big gain in MGAM puts).

Once again Max Pain suggested a rally and once again it was correct. Someone with guts could have had May INTC 30's yesterday at the close for .90 At tomorrows open I bet they worth more than $2.

Now, is this rally "for real" or just more max pain nonsense? That is the 100M question.

I guess I will stand back and watch for a bit. Also going on Vacation (Mexico) leaving Thursday.

Congrats to Ron and all the bulls that called this correctly. Smaller congrats to the bears and chickens (myself in the latter category) that had the sense to get out of the way. No congrats to the bears that got run over by this freight train.

I do have a plea here.
Would everyone quit taunting Softie.
No good will come of it.
There are a couple people here that simply are best left on ignore.

I am sick to death of this overbaked Salmon BS myself but there is no way to stop it and responding to it just clutters up the thread.

BTW I have my own personal stalker (via PM's only) that thinks I am a worthless POS and even more. Whoever he/she is I personally apologise if I did said something to start the taunts. Since the name is anonomous I have no clue.

M
