Earlier this year, Veritas executives forecast that first-quarter earnings would come in at 13 cents a share on revenue of between $365 million to $370 million. But last month, CFO Ken Lonchar said he sees the company's results "a little bit better" than previously expected.

Currently, analysts are looking for Veritas (VRTS: news, chart, profile) to announce a profit of 13 cents a share on sales of $369 million when the storage software firm posts its results after the bell.
