<<The Electronic Intifada...what a great name!!!!
Would be that all wars could be administered and resolved this way.....>>

I agree....I just got back from running along the Lake Michigan shoreline and realize how fortunate we are to have so much freedom in this country. I heard on CNN that preliminary estimates of the damage in the occupied territories is now in the billions....Was it really necessary for Israel to conduct their military campaign this way...?? Sharon would claim that the ends justify the means....Yet, most of the world does not agree with him...The U.S. supports Israel in a most generous way but I sure don't like it when leaders like Sharon fail to use good judgement at all...The U.S. is providing Israel with at least $3 Billion/year in economic and military aid and will probably soon have to pay to help rebuild the destruction that the IDF caused....On top of that Sharon has destabilized the entire Middle East region and given Arabs around the world more reasons to question The U.S. and their judgment. IMO, Bush and Powell have been WAY TOO PATIENT with Israel while they've gone ahead and destroyed the infrastructure of many West Bank cities....We're nowhere closer to peace or security for both sides either. The sooner folks realize that there is no military solution to this conflict, the better off all stakeholders will be...JMHO.
