Merrill Fund Manager Survey : The outlook for world equities has deteriorated over the past month, according to a new composite measure of the Merrill Lynch Fund Manager Survey; the indicator fell from +12.1 in Mar to +7.2 in Apr, the lowest level seen so far this year. Additionally, profit expectations fell back, interest-rate prospects deteriorated again, equity valuations appeared more stretched, and investor sentiment retreated. Managers now most want to be overweight eurozone equities, followed by global emerging markets; the equity market they most want to underweight is that of the US as managers are convinced that the dollar is overvalued and the euro undervalued.
