You have some good examples to back up your position mana. It will be hard to get AS to see your logic I fear, but it looks pretty sound to me.

Since when have democrats wanted to take away the 2nd amendment right? You read too much NRA propaganda. Buncha lies. Or maybe you think we all need military arsenals to defend ourselves against federal agents. Yes Democrats are mostly against assault rifles in the home. So are many Republicans. Remember the Brady Bill? Remember Columbine? It's NRA bullshit only criminals use guns on people. Not true at all. Still, I wouldn't support taking them away just registering them correcting and keeping them out of the hands of people with mental problems. Those people are the real danger. And they're a lot of them everywhere.

The Bush administration is enlarging government more than any administration in memory. Aren't they? Look at the spending. Look at the debt. And aren't they also for more government secrecy and less personal privacy? Not saying they're Big Brother but hey, some of it's needed post 9/11 but don't blame the Democrats.

By the way, the war on terror may be all but over now.
Never be quite back to normal but I'm not scared of Al Quaida anymore? Are you?

Universal healthcare might be a great idea if it could work right. If the HMO lobbyists would get out of the way with their soft money maybe we'd have a chance. Is Canada colapsing because of their health care system? I think not. You'd still be able to get anything you want if you want to pay for it. Just like now. But it would save a lot of money in the long run to cover everyone to a certain degree. Emergency rooms are the biggest black hole of money in the system, people without insurance who need help. Also preventative medicine is a lot cheaper. Tricky problem to fix but universal healthcare is hardly an evil idea. No more than Social Security is or Medicare. Hilary Clinton was demonized for it as if she were an "evil-doer". Hey, she was just trying to help lower-income Americans. So she didn't succeed. Doesn't make it a bad idea. Just a bad idea for her at the time. Bush has some bad ideas too, plenty of them.
