Your observations are noted, Jorj. This all came up in the context of the priest scandals, and the link to homosexuality. AIDS came up as an example, rather than a central issue. The situation concerning AIDS is vastly different in Africa as opposed to the U.S. or European nations. Anyone can contract AIDS, and its spread in the developing nations follows a different pattern because of the profoundly different cultures. It is an interesting topic in its own right, but very tangential to what we were discussing at the time.
