But I can't even imagine them doing "C", fiat would be no kind of store of value then...

Don't believe EVERYTHING your mother tells you -- a little bit o inflation is good when everyone's in debt.

Dogs can yap all they want as long as they are kept on a long chain. Course you gots to keep a good grip on that chain ... or have it firmly anchored.

I'd like to pick up some more GOLD under 9.50 and some HGMCY under 10.00. Of course DROOY will NEVER, EVER go back to 3.20 or so <vbg>
