IMO, floyd without Waters *and* Gilmour, just isn't Floyd. It would be like having the Captain and Tenille without the Captain, The Monkees without Nesmith, Ministry without Al Jourgensen, it just ain't Floyd.

I like "Animals", but it isn't the aural pleasure and adventure that other Floyd albums are. It is more of an intellectual process than a listening process. To give you an idea, "Animals" is the only Floyd album that I still only have as vinyl only. I have upgraded everything else to CDs long ago.
