Howdy, if y'all see AMAT on a ticker at what appears to be a 50% haircut, there was a 2:1 split effective at the start of trade this morning. Let them come up and I'll short them... I thought semi, telecom and SAN suckers were already up. Wait 'til they get up a little higher? Strange market. Do we fight the Fed and short with impunity whenever the COMP is over 1860? Or is the fact that new highs are outpacing new lows pointing to a stealth recovery that will pull the whole market up by its bootstraps? In any case there has been no convincing volume to confirm a trend, much less a bottom.
