8 Months ago, AMD's fastest chip was selling for less than $110, going by the first 12 listings on pricewatch.

This week, the equivalent desktop chip from AMD is going for $236, and they have high margin SMP and mobile lines, as well.

Perhaps you are underestimating a significant increase in higher ASP mobiles in AMD's mix, a treend that wouldn't appear to be a temporary phenomenon???
