I was afraid that's the h&s you were talking about... too deformed, and imbalanced... too big in relation to the trend it would theoretically be reversing... you've got a thing for these alien bubblehead pseudo-h&s things...

On AOL, sounds reasonable... the fund family that hasn't been able to shoot straight in about two years may be more or less done selling... Abelson was a few days ahead of you though... Still, if the market overall doesn't explode upward, AOL could fail here (at prior low), at least come back for re-testing... maybe even stagnate for a good while... I dunno, not my bailiwick really....

seems like the futs exuberated in response to INTC - choosing to believe the good and ignore the bad - but VRTS dosed 'em back, and it's not like the semis were particularly oversold going into NVLS, and, even if they were, they're, to say the least, a bit less so now...

NYSE bounced off it's major trendline and major DMAs... didn't think it was going to just plop right through on first try... COMPX bounced back to its broken trendline and 50 DMA...

volume today was improved - but just barely reached the 50-day average...

and there's MSFT still to report...

all in all, typical earnings season hijinx... not a bad show overall...
