I've heard that fear is stronger than greed, a theory that's often put forth as the reason stocks typically rise slowly but drop suddenly. Lately, however, SUNW seems to perform the opposite way -- it fades slowly, then suddenly shoots up. Assuming fear is in fact stronger than greed, I wonder whether the character of recent performance suggests the fear is now concentrated in the shorts rather than the longs.
