I didn't think Packard Bell was still around. Maybe AMD dug them up to get a third "launch partner"? What happened to Frog's Leap, or was it Stag's Leap?

Intel must have offered them one heck of a deal.

Now you know why Intel had such a bleak outlook for margins and revenue this quarter. Mobiles might only be about 20% of units, but they used to provide more than a third of the profits.

Sharp makes a nice notebook. I've owned several of their ultra-light units (with Pentium CPUs, in fact!), and they were nice.

Nowhere near as fast as my current Compaq Athlon, of course, but a lot lighter.
