more reasons pendulum swings to Europe in this decade:

a) more Arab debt is with European banks than USA banks
they will begin to pay down some debts

b) petro-dollars already moving more to Europe than USA
Euro banks will be seen as safer than US banks
US is seizing assets when questionable
depositors dont like that

c) Europe has far more socialism, but much less debt
household, corporate, state

d) Europe is on a roll with their newly accepted currency
the euro has more central bank combined gold than the USA
the euro has passed the initial stages of testing

e) Europe has far fewer terrorist targets than the USA
it has more secure borders than the openbook of America

f) Europe has more charm, mystique, castles, historical element

just my thoughts
but I think 2000-2010 will be the Decade of Europe
marked by simultaneous slight decline of America

Plus Europe is WAY underrated by the hedonic pricing scam in the US... GDP & productivity difference between US and Europe is much narrower than perceived.
