Dear ET: You say their media appears antisemitic and that is probably so. Could be its because the media responds to the people. All in all one would have to say the Arabs are antisemitic in general. But, it wasnt ALWAYS that way. Long before the Palistine Mandate in 1948 Jews and Arabs were living together peacefully. (I am talking for 1,000's of years). Then the Palistine Mandate alloted land specifically to the Jews and the troubles began. A lot of Palistinians became refugees vastly overrunning nearby countries and creating problems. So gradually, all Arabs came to see the Israelis as a people that caused them problems (many didnt like the Palistinians either) but it has gradually evolved into a hatred of Jews in general. The fact that Israel seems to be continually infringing on the portion of land belonging to the Palistinians by building settlements in opposition to UN and USA rulings isnt helping any. Personally, I think the ONLY way to have a road to peace anymore is for a FAIR settlement to be arranged and INTERNATIONAL powers step in to see that it is enforced. Whether that will ever happen or not, who knows. jdn
