Scott....I am 38, wife is 32......but we climb with people of all ages.....one of the better climbers around here is a very good friend....just had his 55th birthday, and he climbs as good today as he did when he was 25...still goes right up 12's like they were nothing....he's long and skinny...very fluid, excellent technique....never looks like he is working...makes everything look easy.....heck, I am 17 years his junioe, yet he makes me feel old <ggg>....some of the best climbing pictures I have seen anywhere, are of my wife climbing over the mediteranean sea.....speactacular shots, yet she refuses to let me send any in to the magazines, or to equipment folks in the hopes of getting sponsorship dollars and free gear....nope, she just wants to climb for herself.....what a shame....those cams are expensive, and she goes thru shoes like I go thru water....and ropes...sheez....she goes thru ropes very quickly....it sure would be nice to get free gear in exchange for her endorsing certain products, but she doesnt want to do it.....the great thing about climbing is it is really you against yourself/rock.....you can be a beginner and top rope 5.8's or hardcore and redpoint 13's......both will be equally challenged and have equal fun......it is quit addicting to.....when your working on a tough problem, it's like reading a good book and not being able to put it down.....all you can think about is getting back out and "solving that damned problem"...you'll lay in bed at night thinking about the moves and etc.....awesome sport....more people should try it.....
