It's bounced up from 7.75 several times recently. You might get it for 7.75 after the earnings announcement tomorrow. However, you also might not be able to get it for under 9.

I suppose it depends on how much of the buying this week is from investors and how much is from speculators "playing" the earnings announcement. INTC doesn't seem to be fading, so perhaps SUNW won't, either, if it comes out with decent guidance.

But it's a very fickle market, often seeming to take the "what have you done for me lately?" attitude. Plus, there's options expiration to deal with. As I recall, in past quarters SUNW has often dipped for a day or two after earnings even when it then headed upwards.

If Microsoft has bad things to say, it could drag everybody down regardless of merit.

JMHO.

Well it's not far from your buy price limit order but I would be skeptical if SUNW dropped below $7.75 and use that as a sell signal at this point in time. If they come out with disappointing earnings that's going to be very very very bad for the future of this company. That would mean that all the "hype" about competitive advantage would fly away out the window and the company would be truly floundering.
