Take care. The best indicator I have seen is when the AMD investors on this thread finally admit the sky is falling. That is the time to back up the truck.

It seems to be an accurate indicator, but unfortunately I always convince myself that this time the sky really is falling and ignore the bullish signs :^(

Good luck with the short but I am hoping that if AMD come in above the -.07 consensus they will hold steady.

<< Just shorted AMD at 15.01. I will be toast if earnings and guidance is good. I think any upside will most likely be due to flash, and probably not that likely. >>

I just closed my AMD position at 15.21, I had bought back in at 13.50 in february after a long absense since selling after the Q2 warning last june.

I'm sure they'll try to spin the meeting, but I bet Q2 profitability is gone, and that should put the stock in the single digits before it hits this price again.

Mani,

The reason I chose AMD over INTC for the short is because I think AMD will be more volatile over the next couple of days.

I have learned that when you think you should short Intel, it is more profitable to short AMD. Also, I believe Intel said that flash was down 11% sequentially. This does not bode well for AMD, either. Let's see what happens.

Pravin.
