I am watching both the SOX for signs of topping out and the VIX for signs of hitting a bottom.

On the SOX Chart I am watching for an RSI around 65 and a penetration of the Upper Bollinger Band. That would indicate an overbought situation:

So I am looking for anything over 637 on the SOX. That might be short lived. Historical Prices on the SOX:

VIX Chart:

My read on the Volatility Index suggests that we could run all the way back down to sub 19. It is holding nicely above that level now at 20.39.

Yahoo Chart of the SOX compared to the VIX:

VIX down means SOX up and the reverse holds true as well.

Anyway Cary, thanks for your thoughts. I need to trade smarter. More like I think you do. We could still use more information about your exit points on your various holdings.
