Lebanon is not in the Palestinian equation.

The article's author used the Palestinian issue to segue into a political rant that smells of the prejudice that won't result in any kind of Palestinian solution. Expanding the terrorist war to include all nations in the ME will accomplish nothing, since that has been the history there for 50 years. Currently, the Palestinian question must be answered before other issues can be addressed. It's a leg in the process of regional integration.

Israel thinks it's very clever because it successfully contends against all the hostile states bordering her. So clever, but they forgot one thing. The nations in that region of the world have a common interest and that is to contend against all the other nations in the world. The ME needs to identify itself as a world region in competition against other world regions.

Regionalism will become the political story of the 21st century. Israel had better identify who is in her region and take steps to become a member in the United Middle East Nations(UMEN).
