AMD also doesn't have $9.2 Billion in cash on their balance sheet - but Intel does.

Well, you seem to ignore the fact that Intel has accounts payable of $4.6B and income taxes due of $1B but only $2.9B of accounts receivable. So their real cash is $6.5B. That is 96% of one quarters sales.

Let's do the same exercise for AMD: (Cash $0.87B + AR $0.66B - AP 0.30B - IT 0.06B) / QSales 0.95B = 123%

Of course, in a few hours we'll have Q1 numbers for AMD, but I doubt the comparison will change:
