I haven't been in a pit in about 9 years....yikes! The industrial pits were pretty "polite", if you fell down, people would pick you up. The worst pit I was ever in was at a "Fear" concert. It got pretty violent there. There were a bunch of skinheads there who eventually kicked the shit out of some guy who protested their style. I helped the guy to the first aid station, all the while my then-girlfriend was telling me to let the guy be or the skinheads would come after me. This guy was seriously hurt though. I won't even describe his injuries here. Let's just say that I have no doubt that this guy lost the sight in his right eye.
