NV - additionally, if it means anything msft max-pain showing 60 right now on iqauto. new highs vs. lows inching up since spike subsided this morning I think. tim

Remember that Intel's "positive" results were due to improved process technology lowering costs combined with higher ASPs. Unit sales were actually down.

So MSFT earnings will not necessarily be a repeat of INTC earnings.

NV, don't forget the IBM and Nortel warnings. They will report these warnings and give guidance today AH and tomorrow. IMO, the IBM warning is the bigger of the two. Cause there is never just a single miss. The IBM miss was totally unexpected and the analysts will be trying to figure out how did it happen and if there is further top/bottom line price cuts forward.
