bmw, >P.S. I just dumped all my AMD shares this morning @ $15.20.

So you made a few bucks? Can't beat that with a stick.

Article about Prescott and Hammer, talking about different clock speeds for different functions on a Prescott chip:

In a 130 nm process at a low 1.2 Volt:

- 4.0 GHz 32 bit Address Generator

- 5.0 GHz Integer Execution Core

- 4.5 GHz 32 k byte Cache

Imagine the howling by Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves when they see this. I would like to point out that computers have had various clock speeds on different functions since day, well, very early. Smart, efficient design, with just a little pain in the synchronization where functions talk to each other.
