"It does not have an equal significance for Muslims, unless Mecca and Medinah are not more important sites."

From a Muslim perspective... The history of Solomon, Jesus, etc is a shared history. Muslims consider this as part of the Muslim history. That is, Solomon is a Muslim, Jesus is a Muslim etc, etc. The separation of religious identity from the Muslim perspective came at a later time or at least as a contested division. In other words Israelies separate the messengers by genetic lineage but Muslims don't. So there is some confusion over where one religion starts and the other picks up.

The three Muslim Holy sites (Mecca, Medinah, and Jerusalem) cannot be measured in terms of which could be sacrificed as a comprimise. This is the ultimate Sophies choice and incompatable with religious resolution.

To understand my earlier point one must see the issue and its resolution as bigger than Arab Palestinian and/or Israeli. Clearly this is a tribal dispute that is no more likely to find finality than any other sibling rivalry. They must be identified as members of a bigger picture and participants in a broader vision to find resolution.
