What I find offensive is the prevailing philosophy of a growing number of U.S. corporations that "only profits matter; people don't." As far as my "bitter hatred" of "the suburban mentality" ... I would argue "hate" is too strong a word. I have little use for suburban residents who think that because they live in the 'burbs, then the cities can go to hell. Sorry, you don't impress me as someone who knows much more than what the Republicans spoon-feed you. Re: The bottom 50% of U.S. residents only pay 4% of Federal taxes. How much lower can it go? And the top 50% can afford it, right? Rich people should pay more taxes than poor people. I also believe that every business should pay its "fair share." That's a crazy concept, isn't it?
