I have known and still do know many fine teachers. I also know a few that desperately need to find other jobs. You are right in that it takes vigilance and hard work to make sure your children receive a good education, and that the ultimate responsibility lies with the parents. BTW: if memorizing the state capitols is a federal requirement, I (and most everyone I know) must be in violation. I suppose Ashcroft is gonna have to haul us in. My children had to "learn" the capitals of all 50 states 16 and 17 years ago respectively. Neither you or any other student is responsible for making sure that happens, teachers are. How on Earth do you equate this to being hauled in by our AG? M
