A few of our favorite family trip destinations were: Wash.D.C.(prime directive: for our son, a Trekie, to see the Starship Enterprise model hanging from the ceiling in the National Air & Space Museum) & other Smithsonian bldgs. We toured the Capitol & viewed the Declaration of Independence & Constitution as well. Another trip was to Williamsburg. Children enjoyed posing for photos in the stocks located in front of one of the main bldgs. They were excused from school for a wk for that one & took their schoolbags along to complete assignments when time allowed. Of course, the usual trips to Disneyworld were also included. That can be educational as well....especially rubbing elbows with people from every corner of the world.
