AFGHANISTAN - U.S. SOLDIER HIT IN DRIVE-BY SHOOTING (APR 18/AP)
Date: 04/18/2002
ASSOCIATED PRESS -- A gunman fired from a speeding car at a group of Americans on a crowded market street in Kandahar, hitting one Special Forces soldier in the face, the Associated Press reports.

Local officials believe Taliban or Al-Qaida fugitive fighters were responsible for the attack.

The soldier was in stable condition after being treated at a hospital on the U.S. base outside the city.

Maybe it was the Canadians

How does someone "mistakenly" drop TWO 500 pound laser guided bombs?

Some drive by shooting I'd say!

Hi Darren. Yes it's tragic, even more so when it's from your own side.... but I just got to keep in mind this is war
and bad things happen.
