FMDAY news today:

B: FUTUREMEDIA: Futuremedia plc purchases content production company PalmTeach
and launches Futuremedia Content Studio

Arundel, England, Apr 18, 2002 (M2 PRESSWIRE via COMTEX) -- E-learning
solutions provider Futuremedia Plc (NASDAQ: FMDAY) today announced the
completion of the purchase of the assets of the content production company
PalmTeach in an all share deal for a total of 759,700 Futuremedia shares.

PalmTeach will be integrated with existing Futuremedia content production
resources to form the Futuremedia Content Studio - enhancing the Company`s
position as a single source provider of e-learning solutions.

Mats Johansson, CEO of Futuremedia, said: "Our strategy is to provide customers
with a single source of fully integrated e-learning solutions. The production of
customised e-learning content has rapidly increased in importance as many of our
e-learning applications are addressing company specific strategic issues beyond
the scope of generic published e-learning courses. We have previously
out-sourced this work but through the acquisition of PalmTeach and the formation
of the Futuremedia Content Studio can now provide this service directly and as a
result improve our margins, expand our contact platform and broaden the revenue
base with each customer." Mr. Johansson added: "We have for some time worked
with PalmTeach and I expect our combined content production business to grow
rapidly and contribute positively towards our return to profitability within the
coming three quarters."

Stephen Copeland, Managing Director of PalmTeach commented, "Our ability to
consult on client content needs and produce customised solutions will
significantly enhance Futuremedia`s existing capability as a total solutions
provider. The ability both to produce training solutions and deliver them to the
desktop is often the preferred route for those large corporates wishing to make
rapid strategic change. We are pleased to add our expertise to that of
Futuremedia`s and to create a significant single source provider in this
exciting and growing e-learning market."

Stephen Copeland will take up the position of Head of Learning Production of
Futuremedia Content Studio. Stephen (29) is an Honours graduate in Business
Studies from Kingston University`s School of Excellence and in addition to
PalmTeach has held main board directorships with several companies in the media
field. James Copeland, also a director of PalmTeach, will take up the position
of Head of Content Development of Futuremedia Content Studio. James (28) is an
Honours graduate in Computer and Information Science from Brighton University
with previous experience as manager in British Airways IT Support division and
subsequently as PalmTeach`s content development specialist.

PalmTeach is expected to add an additional GBP250,000 ($355,000) in revenues to
