Do you think Sharon's idea of a security fence will accomplish much?

In the seven years that I covered the story, I mostly saw UNIFIL looking the other way when rockets were fired protecting Hezbollah from the IDF.

Wouldn't you, knowing that one night a sniper's round might find a spot to insert itself, right in your skull??

The UNIFIL forces were quite aware that the Israelis would never do such a thing to them, but that Hesbollah wouldn't hesitate to do so should they deem UNIFIL an impediment to their operations.

It's just a shame that some people out here fail to understand how "the real world" works... The UNIFIL guys want to sleep safe and sound too... Thus, they make the fewest waves possible and "go along and get along", rather than confronting and swapping lead with the violators.

How else were thousands of Bosnias massacred under the very eyes of Dutch "peace-keepers"??

Btw, Paul... Always enjoy your perspective on events. Glad to have you here.
