Corruption is the norm in the Bush administration.

The Environmental Protection Agency today will begin confiscating files that may be embarrassing to its administrator, Christie Whitman, according to an agency investigator.

From the Post article:

"I don't think the U.S. provided any active or material support for this," a Western diplomat said. "But the people involved may have seen all of these meetings and visits, added them all up, and come up with an idea that they were on the same team."

At least three people who landed key jobs within the provisional government have acknowledged that they met with U.S. officials in the past six months.

I've seen several items that have included this theme. Along with admissions by the Administration that they met with people and discussed the overthrow of the government.

How do these meetings get set up? Do you call the White House and say....

I'm planning on overthrowing a democratically elected government and would like to have an appointment with the White House...please

White House: Which democratically elected government were you planning on overthowing?

Venezuela?

White House: Please hold. while I check our list.....

White House: Yes, we would be happy to schedule a meeting, what would be convenient? Please remember that your privacy is important to us, you can be confident that no communication of our meetings will be relayed to the government of Venezuela.
