WC,
Still a long-long shot that it hit a landmark bldg. If you remember 9/11 you will remember a whole spate of events that were suspicious--the greyhound bus, the russian plane with israelis shot down over ukraine, the American plane in queens ny. I am a 60's grassy knoll kind of guy so i expect our grandchildren to be getting the truth 50 years out. I think govts have every interest in not publicizing every act of terror. Look at the stock market gyrations when this occurred today or when the plane went down in queens. Mike
PS maybe after 4pm things the story will change

I had the same thought. A pilot is trained to look for a landing spot - not a brick wall - when trouble arises. Reports are that the plane was on fire before hitting the bldg. so perhaps the controls were frozen in place?

Pilot was reported to be aged 75 and Swiss. Perhaps he was looking for Florida and had a heart attack in the excitement?
