Malaise

The sense of the market I am getting is that as the weather is getting warmer and summer is approaching, most people don't give a rat's ass about the market. They have concluded (rightly so) that there is little upside in the market, certainly not enough to warrant time being concerned about the market or following their investments.

Just a hunch, but I think people are going to either pull money out of the market and/or not commit new money to the market so that they do not have to think or worry about it. The weak volume over the last month, even on Tuesday's rally, supports this. I look for a muted rally at best (if we get any at all), and the beginning of a slow grind downward beginning before the end of the month. A 3-5 week rally into mid-May doesn't seem likely to me.

P.S. The Dow Transports of -50 (nearly 2%), hardly a good sign for the market.
