Confusion high regarding MSFT EPS numbers for Q3. The correct comparison for consensus EPS from continuing operations is actual $0.48 vs. $0.41. MSFT beat by $0.07 on that score.

More MSFT misinformation. The snippet below understates Q3 revs by $850 million.

16:18 ET Microsoft light on revenues (MSFT) 56.37 -0.26: -- Update -- On revenues, company reported $6.4 bln, significantly below the $7.35 bln Multex consensus. On Q2 revenues, guided down to $7.0-7.1 bln vs $7.7 bln consensus. Stock trading off almost 2 pts after hours.

MSFT reported 3rd quarter total revs of 7.25 billion. $6.4 billion is not right.
