Oh come on. With almost 30% of it's land government owned, most of which is in the national park or preserve system, this is a bit much. Ok, Canada may have a higher percentage, but the population density is lower.

I live in an area that is mostly untouched even now, except for roads. Don't try to tell me that areas like this don't exist...

Stribe... You make it sound like they're going to tear the hell out of that land to get to the oil. Perhaps you're thinking they will get to the oil like they did in the movies of the '40s and '50s. And besides, this controversy has been going on long before 9/11 and the current escalation of the Mid-East problems.

Stribe, you being a Canadian, should know that Canada's oil sands contain more recoverable oil than all the reserves of Saudi Arabia. The only thing your country seems to be missing are the money hungry, greedy oil barons. Perhaps if Canada had more of them then your country would not be so dependent on countries like the U.S.A.
