jjstingray: I do not think the end of April will be THE significant low of the year because there is not enough time and not enough pessimism for the indices to go anywhere near the 9/21 lows. The S&P 600 is up 43% since then with no more than a 10% correction during that span and investors are still tripping over themselves to buy into that sector of the market. Similarly, Dow is still considered by many investors to be "undervalued" (go figure).

The REAL low of the year will whack these indices as well as the Nasdaq -- I just don't see that happening yet. It will take Fed raising interest rates or realization that any recovery will be quite muted before this happens. Just my opinion, but I will NOT pile money into any low at the end of this month -- the best is yet to come.
