da boyz will try to hold it around max pain as best they can at least tomorrow.....

Actually, after hearing the MSFT conference call, there should be problem hitting max pain or even go above it. MSFT forecasting a slight pick up in PC sales next quarter...that is unbelievable as their forecasts are usually conservative.

The big revenue miss for next quarter is really just the X-BOX price reductions and lower shipment levels for the product. They also seem to be deferring revenue as part of their newer longer term arrangements. It seems all other groups are expecting flat to up from this quarter.

Apart from X-box, I don't know where they disappointed. They grew as the CFO stated while competitors had decling revenues.

In addition, analysts were already expecting weaker guidance for next year.

MSFT was a bargain at 52.
